Marie-Hélène LeBouthillier is a registered social worker who brings warmth, wisdom, and a grounded presence to her practice at IronMind Wellness Inc. Originally from the Acadian Peninsula, she has proudly called Bathurst home since 2019. Her global travels prior to settling here shaped a deep appreciation for human resilience, cultural richness, and the power of connection—values that are woven into every aspect of her therapeutic work.
Outside of the therapy room, Marie-Hélène finds joy in the simple things: spending time in nature, camping under the stars, tending to her garden, and cherishing quiet moments with her partner and loved ones. These everyday experiences reflect the same core principles she brings to her clients: presence, compassion, and authenticity.
Marie-Hélène holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Université de Moncton. Her early clinical work in an orphanage ignited a lifelong commitment to trauma-informed care, while her graduate research into the experiences of francophone immigrants in New Brunswick deepened her understanding of systemic inequities and the fundamental human need to feel a sense of belonging.
With over nine years of experience supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges, Marie-Hélène has worked across diverse settings—including palliative and oncology care, child and youth services, mental health counselling, rural homelessness outreach, and sexual violence support. She is especially skilled in helping clients navigate trauma, grief, and life transitions with gentleness and clarity.
At the heart of her approach is a deep respect for each client’s unique journey. Marie-Hélène offers bilingual (English and French) individual counselling to adults aged 16 and up, both in-person and virtually. She welcomes people of all backgrounds, genders, and lived experiences—particularly those who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and who are ready to rediscover their strength and reconnect with themselves.
Using a blend of body-based, trauma-informed, and relational approaches, Marie-Hélène draws from somatic practices, nervous system regulation, inner child work, and mindful self-compassion. Her sessions offer a safe, attuned space where healing can unfold—where you can soften, be seen, and begin to feel at home in your own body and life again.
